Deborah Ellis serves as the lead Drug and Alcohol Program oversight team member for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT) Office of Transit and Active Transportation. Since she began in 2008, the department has overseen the FTA Drug and Alcohol program compliance of over 50 employers that operate public transit service in rural Minnesota.Deborah’s work with FTA Drug and Alcohol programs started in her role as the Director of Administration for Sioux Falls Transit in South Dakota, and continued in her role of Contracted Services Project Administrator for Metropolitan Council in the Twin Cities Minnesota metropolitan area.She holds a B.A. in Government and International Studies, and Business Administration from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.
